Install the launcher, then pick one tower
Buy Tower Realm on Steam, launch the collection, and start with Destined Melody if you want the classic Magic Tower lesson. The getting started guide explains the first-hour checklist.
Getting started with Tower Realm - 2
Learn the combat formula before you fight
Every monster is a math problem. If your attack is not higher than its defense, you deal nothing. Use the combat calculator before you spend a yellow key on a bad fight.
Open the combat calculator - 3
Treat keys as the real currency
Yellow, blue, and red keys open the map. Gems and potions only matter if you can still walk. The items guide shows what to pick up first.
Items, keys, and resources - 4
Decide on the Green Key with a rule, not a mood
Hardcore is always possible, according to the developers. Use the Green Key when you are learning a new rule set, not as a default. Read the Green Key page before you spend it.

Clear, then break the tower in Custom Mode
Points from a clear unlock custom challenges. After Destined Melody, try The Saga of Tower or System Cultivating, then look at launch DLC if you want more floors.
