Tower Realm The Saga of Tower Chapter 1

An amnesiac traveler, 65 floors, and a sequel sold separately.

The Saga of Tower

The Saga of Tower is the collection’s serialized story chapter. The Steam page introduces a brand-new amateur creator, an amnesiac traveler, and a world that is itself called the Tower Realm. Chapter 1 ships in the base launcher at 65 floors. Chapter 2 is the paid pack documented on A Thousand Towers Journey.

Play Destined Melody first if the genre is new. Saga is only five floors longer than that homage, but it is not the same lesson. Homage towers telegraph breakpoints with swords and bats. Story towers hide more of the budget inside dialogue, side rooms, and the urge to see the next cutscene. That urge spends yellow keys.

What Chapter 1 is for

Sixty-five floors is a full evening, not a demo. Treat it like a novel with a handbook. When an NPC offers a branch, save. When a new enemy type appears, calculate before you chase the plot through their tile. The combat method does not pause for cutscenes.

The store’s “Ciallo ~” sign-off is a tone marker. This chapter wants to be liked. That does not mean it wants you to open every door. Items still apply. If the story begs you into a red door, count remaining red keys for the whole 65, not for the scene you are in.

Green Key and hardcore

A Green Key teaching run is reasonable if Destined Melody was your only prior tower. Use it to learn the chapter’s extra monsters, then consider a hardcore second pass. Do not Green Key by default just because the protagonist has amnesia. The puzzle does not have amnesia.

How it connects to DLC

Chapter 2 lists 105 floors: 65 main, 25 side, 15 hidden or story. That is a different product. You can finish Chapter 1, collect Custom Mode points, and stop. You can also wait and buy the sequel when you want a longer serialization. The DLC page is the money conversation. This page is the Chapter 1 conversation.

Because both chapters share a traveler and a world name, people will search for a combined walkthrough. We will not glue them into one fake map. Finish 65 with the same habits you used on 60. Then decide whether 105 more floors is a weekend you want.

Session advice

Use multiple saves if the engine allows it: one before a long dialogue, one before a shop, one before a boss-looking floor. Steam Cloud is listed for the app; still verify timestamps after a long night, as Getting started warns.

If you stall, it is usually keys or an illegal fight, not missing EXP. Reload, recount, and only then look at System Cultivating or rhythm DLC as a palate cleanser. Switching towers mid-frustration is allowed. Abandoning the handbook is not.

Pair this chapter with the Towers Hub when you need the full shelf, and with the review when you are deciding whether serialized DLC is the point of the $4 launcher. Official screenshots on this page show the story-tower look. Numbers still come from the in-game handbook.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Tower Realm questions.

Is Saga of Tower complete in the base game?

Chapter 1 (65 floors) is in the launcher. Chapter 2 is DLC listed as A Thousand Towers Journey with 105 floors including side and hidden floors.

Should I play Saga or Destined Melody first?

Destined Melody first if you are new to Magic Tower. Saga is the story chapter and spends keys on curiosity.

Do I need Chapter 2 to enjoy Chapter 1?

No. Chapter 1 is a full 65-floor climb. Buy Chapter 2 when you want the sequel length, not to finish the first sitting.
